Maintenance worker, Mario is terminally ill when he was asked what one last gift he'd like to receive. He wanted to be taken into the giraffe enclosure at Rotterdam's Diergaarde Bilijdorp zoo. The 54-year-old man was wheeled into the enclosure where the giraffe herd approached him gently. The animals recognized him and just knew things were not going well with Mario. It was truly a beautiful sight to see.
Mario was also given a chance to say any final goodbyes to his colleagues where he worked for almost 25 years. This was all made possible by The Ambulance Wish Foundation.
