While doing his shift as a Salvation Army bell ringer in Indianapolis, James Bond got an extra special donation. There among the crumpled bills and pocket change, someone left a gold coin in the red kettle.
But this gold coin isn’t just any coin. It’s a 1915 100 Corona Austrian gold coin, valued at $1,500. And a large donation like this is even more appreciated because Thanksgiving was so late this year and the Salvation Army’s red kettle campaign had less time to raise funds.So something like this is a huge jolt to their fundraising efforts."
