Kids with Deployed Parents Get a Free Doll From Company

A company from North Carolina is helping children with deployed parents by giving them a free 'hug-a-hero' doll. Each doll has a special photo on it. It's a picture of either the child's mother or father printed on the doll. Dyal Studios started this effort a few weeks ago after many North Carolina troops were deployed. The Company is called Daddy Dolls which sells the hug-a-hero dolls. She began making the dolls after her great aunt made a similar doll that helped comfort her young daughter while Dyal's husband was deployed.

This venture has gotten to be so big she's thinking of teaming up with the USO or Red Cross to help distribute all the dolls. If you want more information on how you can get a Daddy Doll, click the little girl with the doll below ↓
