A Facebook post calling for the adoption of the “World’s worst cat” has gone viral thanks to its ruthless description of this less than nice feline.
“We [thought] she was sick, turns out she’s just a jerk,” the ad on North Carolina’s Mitchell County Animal Rescue’s Facebook page reads.
“Meet Perdita, not for the faint of heart. LIKES: staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again; the song Cat Scratch Fever, the movie Pet [Semetary] (Church is her hero), jump scares (her specialty), lurking in dark corners, being queen of her domicile, fooling shelter staff into thinking she’s sick (vet agrees…she’s just a jerk).”
The shelter also listed all the things she doesn't like: “DISLIKES: the color pink, kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, children, the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least…HUGS.”
Facebook users quickly jumped in and helped the post go viral with some loving the post while others were a bit critical and felt bad for the cat. Either way, the shelter is hoping someone will see it and come and adopt this "Real Jerk" of a cat.
