WWII Vet Who Raised $41M For Healthcare Workers Gets 125K Birthday Cards

Captain Tom Moore, the World War II veteran we recently told you aboutwho’s raising money for Britain’s National Health Service, just celebrated a milestone. He just turned 100 years old and for his birthday, he’s received more than 125-thousand cards from well wishers around the world.

Tom recently completed his goal of walking 100 laps around his garden to raise money for healthcare workers on the front lines of the pandemic. His story has made headlines around the world because he’s raised over $41-million with hisJust Givingfundraiser so far.

He’s been promoted to honorary Colonel in recognition for his efforts to raise money for the UK's health service and British train operating company Great Western Railway has named a train after him.
