Professional bluegrass Musician, Barry Abernathy was born with only a thumb and part of his index finger on his left hand, but it hasn’t kept him from a career playing the banjo.Last year, his daughter, Chassady, told him about a pair of siblings at the daycare where she worked.She told him that little boy had the same birth defect as he did.He went to meet the 4 yr old, Tyler and his sister Zoey, and the boy immediately told him, “You’re my dad!”Barry and his wife had never considered adoption, but they both felt like this was something they needed to do.So, they ended up adopting both Tyler and his sister Zoey. Barry said, “There is no doubt it was meant to be.”
