Héctor Morales adopted his cat Nilo when he was just a kitten, and he soon realized his pet liked to wander. Héctor had no problem letting Nilo out to roam because he always knew the cat would return each night. Bu as Nilo got older, his jaunts got longer, with the cat not returning for days. When he did return, Héctor noted he seemed “very calm, fatter too.”
But it turns out Nilo wasn’t just roaming the neighborhood for days. One day when the cat returned Héctor found a note attached to his collar that read, "We are the other family of 'Angelo. When he's not in your house, he's at ours." It seems when Nilo left, he found a whole other family to take care of him.
While Héctor admits he at first felt a little betrayed, he soon felt okay about it. "When I thought about it, I was grateful that another family cared for him and had even given a name," he shared. He even decided to write the family back, asking for their number so they could contact each other if either was ever on vacation.
