Omaha Non-Profit Helps At-Risk Kids Get Their First Bike

Getting your first bike is a big deal for a kid and a nonprofit here in Omaha is working to help more kids get that experience. For the last 11 years, Rich Settje and his non profit Team Bike Rescue at 4227 Grant Street in Omaha, has been providing bicycles to children who probably wouldn’t get one otherwise.

His Team Bike Rescue of Omaha gets bikes in the hands of at-risk kids. There’s no charge for the bicycles, but they’re not really free - Rich has the kids earn them by helping out and being involved.

Right now, the nonprofit is in need of a new home, so if you know of anyone that is willing to help out let them know, but even without a place to work on the bikes, Rich plans to continue his program. You can contact Rich by calling (402) 650-3158.
