CRIMESTOPPERS: Would-Be Bank Robber Leaves Drive-thru Empty-Handed

 (WOWT) -- A would-be bank robbery left a downtown bank empty-handed after attempting to rob the place through the drive-thru.

According to reports, police were called to the Creighton Federal Credit Union branch at 25th and Dodge just before 1:30 pm on Tuesday. Witnesses said a woman drove through one of the bank's drive-thru lanes and sent a note to the teller, demanding money.


Once the woman was unable to get any cash from the teller, she drove away without getting a dime.

Police said the woman appeared to be between 30 and 40 years old and was wearing a scarf around her face as well as sunglasses.
