Several Former Huskers Head To NFL As Free Agents

(WOWT) Despite not hearing their names called in the NFL Draft this week, several former members of the Big Red are heading to camps as free agents.

Longtime quarterback Tommy Armstrong will head to Minnesota with the Vikings. He spent the weeks leading up to the draft training as a wide receiver. Fellow seniors Terrell Newby and Dylan Utter also agreed to terms with the Vikings.

Tight end Cethan Carter hoped to hear his name during the draft, but instead chose to be a free agent with the Cincinnatti Bengals.

Brandon Reilly will work out for the Buffalo Bills after a strong showing in the bowl game, while another receiver, Alonzo Moore, will hope to make the Chiefs roster.
