(WOWT) -- A Nebraska City man was arrested and charged with OWI after leading Fremont County, Iowa deputies on a high speed pursuit.
The Fremont County Sheriff's office said 26-year-old Erik Kreifels was driving a BMW at speeds over 115 miles per hour near Farragut, Iowa early Sunday morning. Deputies pursued him until he lost control of his vehicle, spun out of control, and slid into a field.
Nobody was injured in the crash. Kreifels was taken into custody without incident.
Kreifels was charged with 2nd Offense OWI, reckless driving, failure to maintain control, and other traffic violations. He was released after posting $2,300 bond.
