(WOWT-TV) A Papillion home is a total loss after a house fire late Sunday night. Two other homes are also facing damage.
Fire crews responded around 11:30 Sunday night for a house fire near 52nd and Lake Forest. When they arrived they found the main home surrounded by flames.
Papillion, Bellevue, Omaha and Ralston firefighters had to take a defensive approach to the fire at the first home because of the massive flames. In daylight all that's left standing is a stone structure with charred vehicles.
Papillion Fire said the home is a complete loss.
A second home also caught fire and has extensive damage. Crews were able to get inside to battle the blaze. However, because of how quickly it spread the fire did break through the roof. That family has also been displaced.
A third home has some damage to its siding.
Miraculously, no one was injured in the fire and everyone made it out on their own. The Red Cross is assisting the two families that have been displaced.
The cause of the blaze is not known at this time.
