WCA Fireworks Stand Is Open After Theft

A fireworks stand that benefits the Women's Center for Advancement is open for business at 60th and Grover Street even after a big theft last night. 

Spokesperson Elizabeth Power tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB that $10,000 to $15,000 in fireworks was taken from a semi-trailer parked in the lot of the Firefighters Union Hall.  The fireworks taken were pallets and cases of large packages and the big aerials displays that are on the more expensive end. 

Power says, "We are hoping the Omaha community will help rally around this.  We know how supportive this community is and hopefully we won't see a big deficit in sales this year even though we had so much stolen."  They are looking for some inventory to replace what was taken and those shelves will be stocked in a few days.
