Lights Back On In Northwest Omaha

(WOWT) -- Power has been restored in Northwest Omaha after an outage knocked out electricity to 

1,700 customers Wednesday morning.

The outage was reported around 4:30 a.m.

OPPD says it was caused by an underground cable malfunction that knocked out power in an area from Military to West Maple and from 108th Street to 137th Street.

Crews made the needed repairs and restored power by 6:30.
