Two people are dead after a three vehicle crash in Bellevue early Friday morning.
Bellevue Police Lieutenant Chad Reed says the crash happened just after 3:00 near Chandler Road. "When we got there there was three vehicles involved. Two people were deceased on scene and two were taken in critical condition."
Police are in contact with the two critically injured people who were taken to the hospital. Investigators are trying to piece together what happened with the help of witnesses.
Few details are available at this time, and Lt. Reed was not able to confirm what may have caused the crash. "We don't anything about speeds or alcohol yet. There were three vehicles involved, two passenger cars and a tow truck."
Southbound lanes of the Kennedy Freeway were shut down for hours due to the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
