The Lozier Theater at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium will be upgrading its current projection system to a digital 3D projection system. The theater will be closed Jan. 15 and will re-open on March 30.
When the renovations are completed, the theater will be referred to as the Lozier Giant Screen Theater.
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium has contracted D3D Cinema to lead its digital 3D projection system upgrade, which will include a new projection system, screen and sound system.
In addition to the technological upgrades, the Lozier Giant Screen Theater will have new seats, flooring and lighting. The Lozier IMAX Theater first opened to the public on March 29, 1997.
