Students in the Millard School District will be getting some new curriculum next school year.
Monday night, the Millard Public School Board gave the okay for new sex education materials to be used starting next year. The vote was the final step in a process that has gone on for years to update the district's sex ed curriculum.
Parents got a look at the pro-abstinence materials last month. The books do not discuss sexual identity, sexual orientation or abortion.
Two areas that will receive more focus however are sexting, since it's become more of an issue, and vaping, which has become an overall health issue.
