There was a surprise visitor at today's Millard Public School's Main District Office at 5606 S 147th Street. School administrators were gathered to kick off the "Be Kind" school year theme when in walked Gene Simmons of Kiss.
NewsRadio 1110 KFAB learned that district officials had not been told in advance that Simmons would be visiting and it was a complete surprise to all in the building. Simmons message to educators was how to meet children where they are and grab their imagination at a young age. He also gave a heartfelt message on their "Be Kind" theme for the year.
Simmons is a former educator and taught school in Harlem.
Simmons is in Omaha to attend a fundraiser for children.
