FROST: It's A 2-Man Race For Quarterback

(WOWT) -- With the Nebraska Cornhuskers about two weeks away from launching the 2018 campaign with the framework of a new era in place, head coach Scott Frost said Friday the team is showing improvement but it's, "still not quite where we want it."

Frost commented after practice Friday and said "the one thing I want to see our team keep doing is when they hit the turf in Memorial Stadium I want to see juice." He said, "It's on when we hit the turf and it should mean more when we're out there."

On who's leading the competition for the quarterback position Frost said "We're kind of down to a two horse race now," Frost said. "Andrew Bunch has done some great things, but it's kind of down to (Tristan) Gebbia and (Adrian) Martinez now."

The Huskers open at home Sept. 1 against Akron.
