Born in 1906, Grace Jones is the oldest person in Britain at 112 years old. Her secret? Apparently, whiskey.
Living through 26 prime ministers and both world wars, the mother-of-one says she never misses her nightcap – a splash of Famous Grouse single malt whiskey. “Whiskey is very good for you,” she explains. “I started having a nightly tot of it when I turned 50 so I’ve been having it every night for the last 60 years and I certainly have no intention of stopping now.”
Jones adds that her doctor even encourages the nightly ritual, and she swears by it. “My doctor said, ‘keep up with the whiskey Grace, it’s good for your heart,” she notes. “I still feel the same as I did when I was 60.”
