Like father, like son.
On Saturday (December 22), Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, and a whole bunch of other notable rockstars flocked to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to help feed those in need, and also treat them to a rock show. Under the moniker Chevy Metal, the Foo Fighters drummer played a set of cover songs with a host of guests, including his bandmate, Grohl; Motley Crüe's Nikki Sixx, and Lisa Loeb. But perhaps the coolest appearance of all was Hawkins' 11-year-old son, Oliver Shane Hawkins, who sat behind the kit for a cover of The Rolling Stones' "Miss You." Grohl played guitar.

During the same event, Grohl performed with a band of chefs aptly named Foie Grock, though that set didn't go as well. The FF frontman admittedly forgot the words to Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son."
"This is some keg party s**t, just so you all know. This is what happens when a bunch of people who cook food start a rock and roll band, and that’s what happens when a bunch of people who play rock and roll try to cook food," he said midway through the song, pointing past the crowd. "I wish I knew how this song goes, I don’t think it matters anymore.”
It didn't. The crowd still went wild.
