The No-Screen 60-Minute Challenge for Your Fam

A recent study published in the journal Preventive Medicine Reports, shows that young people who spend seven hours or more a day on screens, are more than twice as likely to be diagnosed with depression or anxiety, than those who use screens for an hour a day. While spending seven or more hours a day on screens was not typical among the younger kids in the study, roughly 20% of 14- to 17-year-olds spent this amount of time on screens each day. ↓

Now there IS a challenge, not just for your kids, but it could help your entire family limit their screen time. It’s the “One Hour A Day No Screen Family Challenge”. And when we say “No Screen” we’re talking TVs, phones, tablets, laptops, and video games. Zero devices for 60 minutes means putting the smaller devices into a shoe box and putting it out of sight for 60 minutes. ↓

If you and your family choose to take on this challenge, scroll down for a list of fun activities and there’s even a challenge certificate that you can print out and have your family sign. ↓
