Denny Douglas of Highland is a complicated man. He earned a Silver Star and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry for his service during the Vietnam War, suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and says his best friend in the world is 52 years younger than himself.
“Emma came into my life four years ago when I had hit bottom,” said the 68-year-old Highland man. “I am not a religious man, but I know Emma is related to the big man upstairs. She saved my life.”
