Everything you need to know for the CWS opening ceremonies

The opening ceremonies for the 2019 CWS Opening Day begin Friday at TD Ameritrade Park.

All events are free and open to the public.

  • 9:10 - 10 a.m. Team 1 Open Team Practice 
  • 10:10 - 11 a.m. Team 2 Open Team Practice
  • 10:30 - 11:15 a.m. Team 1 Autograph Session presented by AT&T - Third Base Concourse
  • 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. CWS Fan Fest presented by Capital One open - Lot C and Mike Fahey Street
  • 11:10 a.m. - Noon Team 3 Open Team Practice
  • 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Team 2 Autograph Session presented by AT&T - Frrst Base Concourse
  • 12:10 - 1 p.m. Team 4 Open Team Practice
  • 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. Team 3 Autograph Session presented by AT&T - Third Base Concourse
  • 1:10 - 2 p.m. Team 5 Open Team Practice

  • Performance by Eli Young Band, Olympic style team introductions, U.S. Air Force Wings of Blue Parachute Team and fireworks finale.

For all fans who come in and watch team practices, they will be able to register for a free General Admission ticket good to redeem during games 5 - 12.

Day 1 & 2 of CWS

The pairings and game times for the first two days of the 2019 NCAA Men’s College World Series have been announced.

The first game, this Saturday, is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will feature No. 8 national seed Texas Tech (44-18) against Michigan (46-20) on ESPN.

Saturday’s second game features No. 5 national seed Arkansas (46-18) against Florida State (41-21) and is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on ESPN.

Sunday, No. 2 national seed Vanderbilt (54-11) vs. No. 7 national seed Louisville (49-16) at 1 p.m. on ESPN.

In the evening game starting at 6:30 p.m. , No. 6 national seed Mississippi State (51-13) will be squaring off against Auburn (38-26) on ESPN2.

NCAA Division I Baseball Championship

STADIUM GUIDELINES:

  • All fans must adhere to the clear bag policy at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. 
  • Cameras are permitted for still photography and video for personal use, but lens length must be shorter than approximately one inch, and no additional detachable lenses will be permitted
  • One empty clear plastic bottle per guest will be allowed for water (must be 20 oz. or smaller)
  • Umbrella strollers or strollers small enough to fit under stadium seats are permitted.
  • Carrying a concealed weapon is prohibited unless otherwise authorized by law.

PROHIBITED ITEMS:

  • Small or clutch-sized purses or wallets, exceeding 4.5 inches tall by 6.5 inches long are not permitted.
  • Large purses, bags, backpacks or fanny-packs will not be allowed inside the arena or stadium
  • Seat cushions with pockets
  • Bubbles or bubble-making machines or apparatuses
  • Bottles or cans; food or drink coolers, Yeti cups or coolers
  • Outside food or drink
  • Frisbees or beach balls
  • Large umbrellas
  • Laser pointers
  • Noisemaking devices of any kind (i.e. bells, whistles, horns, etc.)
  • Fireworks
  • Drones, anywhere on MECA campus
  • Selfie sticks
  • Hover boards
  • Illegal drugs and alcohol
  • Weapons of any kind, including lawfully concealed firearms
  • Commercial signs or banners without the prior approval of TD Ameritrade Park Omaha
  • Any item deemed to challenge public safety
