Former NFL Player Pays For 500 Mammograms After Mom Dies Of Breast Cancer

Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back, DeAngelo Williams is committed to fighting breast cancer after losing his mother and four aunts to the disease. Through he has covered the cost of 500 mammograms since he started sponsoring the screenings in 2015. In 2014, Williams’ mother died from breast cancer when she was only 53 years old. His “53 Strong forSandra” program has provided free mammograms at hospitals in several states and the foundation hopes to expand to reach all 50 states in the future.
