Strangers Raise Thousands For WWII Vet Who Was Scammed

World War II veteran Floyd Smith lost thousands of dollars to a scam but the kindness of strangers is paying him back. The 92-year-old Fresno, California man loaned $10,000 to a man who was helping him get new windows for his home and told Smith he was in financial trouble. When he didn’t pay it back, Smith sued in small claims court, but the guy still hasn’t paid, even though it was court-ordered.

But someone heard his story and started a GoFundMe page to raise money for Smith. Hundreds of strangers donated to help and he was recently surprised with a check for $12,472.60. Right now it looks like the GoFundMe account has reached $13,255.00. If you'd like to donate you can CLICK HERE.
