Most kids want the hottest new toys for their birthdays, but notTyler Sliz. For his fifth birthday, the Illinois boy asked for bedding, as in blankets, pillows, and sheets. He asked his party guests to bring bedding as a gift, so he could donate it toSleep in Heavenly Peace,an organization that builds, assembles and delivers beds to children in need.
Tyler’s goal was to collect 100 items, but he blew past that and ended up with 125 pieces of bedding to donate. And on top of the donations, he turned his cause into a family-wide project, where four generations of his family worked on a build day for the organization.
This kid isn’t stopping here either. His next goal? To fill “my whole houseful” with bedding to donate,” Tyler says. To read more about this amazing kiddos, click the mom putting child to rest below ↓
