Sara was working for Wilson Veterinary Hospital in Michigan, which they actually have their own in-house rescue called The Sparky Fund. A litter of tiny 3-week old kittens were surrendered and pretty much all of them were in good health, except for one. This poor kitten had to have part of his tail amputated due to an infection. They named him Renly and Sara just fell in love...so much so that she fostered him and the rest was history. She ended up adopting Renly.
Sara and her then fiance began spoiling him and even got his own blankey with a cute stuffed bunny. Renly became obsessed with them. He would carry the blanket everywhere he would go. Since adopting Renly, they added 2 corgis and he started sharing his blanket with his fur-siblings as well. Sara says that "Over the months, that blanket has seen a lot and has gone through the wash so many times, but I can't bear to replace it and plan on keeping it for him for the rest of his life."
