Going To The Library Twice As Popular As Going To Movies

A new poll from Gallup finds the two most common leisure time, cultural activities in America are going to the library and going to the movies. We all know going to the cinema can get pretty pricey, so it seems more folks are heading to the library instead these days.

The poll finds that on average, American adults visit a library 10.5 times a year, almost twice as often as their 5.3 trips to the movies. But families with incomes of less than $40-thousand visit the library even more, an average of 12.2 times a year, and only go to the movies an average of 4.4 times a year.
