As parents, we can start our day making cold lunch for our kids. Josette Duran had a son that put in a request for her to make double the lunch for him. His mom just thought he was going through a growth spurt and when the mom asked why her son needed another lunch he said, "It's for this boy at school. He only eats a fruit cup for lunch. Can you make him lunch too? I don't think he has lunch money."
Apparently his classmate really needed this hand up. Found out his single mom had recently lost her job and couldn't afford school lunches. That's when Josette jumped into action. The boy's mother found out and offered to pay her back and she said, "I just did what a human being is supposed to do."
Josette is also the coach of the school's volleyball team and they found out she was doing this and raised $400 for her to pay for all the extra lunches she has made. Josette couldn't take it so she donated the money back to the school to pay back the past due accounts for all the students at her son's school. Now everyone can eat, she said.
