Man Buys Super Bowl Ad To Thank Vets Who Saved His Dog From Cancer

Last year,David MacNeil’s dog, Scout, was given a month to live after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. He refused to give up on his beloved seven-year-old golden retriever and Scout was treated at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. Through chemo and radiation, they were able to shrink the tumor on his heart and say it’s all but disappeared now.

To thank the vets who saved Scout, MacNeil, founder and CEO of WeatherTech, bought a Super Bowl ad. The 30-second commercial, “Lucky Dog,” cost $6-million and will highlight Scout’s treatment journey and raise money for the University of Wisconsin’s veterinary program. All the money raised by the ad will go toward supporting research and buying specialized equipment. Read more about this story by clicking on the Golden Retriever below ↓
