We recently told you about Kansas City Chiefs player Derrick Nnadi celebrating his team’s Super Bowl win by vowing to pay the adoption fees for more than 100 shelter dogs and now the story gets even better. Thanks to the football star’s generosity, every dog at KC Pet Project’s animal shelter has been adopted.
"Because of Derrick Nnadi's generous sponsorship, our Petco Adoption Center has no more dogs to adopt," In total, Nnadi paid an average adoption fee of $150 for each of the 109 dogs at the Missouri animal rescue group. Celeb chef Rachael Ray chipped in, too, offering a free year's worth of dog food for each of the dogs that Nnadi paid for.
