Family Trying To Reunite People With Portraits Left In Closed Photo Store

An architect in Kansas City, Missouri was called in to a closed down shop to take some measurements and he discovered hundreds of items with people’s images on them that were left behind.Brian Bononi says he found 160 canvases, mugs, ornaments, and envelopes of photos showing families at graduations, with newborns, and family portraits inside the former Portrait Innovations store at the Shops at Boardwalk Mall.

He didn’t want to leave behind these images of special moments and milestones, so instead of letting them end up in a landfill, he got permission to take the items home. Now he and his family are working to get the keepsakes back to the people shown on them.

Bononi encourages anyone who thinks their photographs could be among these items to email him at portraitboardwalk@gmail.com.
