A high school math teacher in New Jersey will get to see the New York Yankees season opener, thanks to his students. Seniors inMr. Barber’sRamapo High School class pitched in to buy tickets to game one for him and his baseball-loving kids after he was injured while helping his daughter, who has cerebral palsy.
Little did the teens know, the Yankees decided to get in on the giving, too. The team is giving the teacher and his family tickets to game two of the season and invited them to come to batting practice, too. And they had a surprise for the generous students - they’ve been invited to a game in April in honor of their good deed.
Mr Barber is grateful for the students’ kindness and joked with them, “Allright, you all get As.”
