A survey showed that Seattle, Washington as the most dog-friendly city in the U.S., but dogs aren’t the only pets people care about. There are plenty of cat people out there, and now a new report reveals which cities are the best to live in if you are a feline friend.
Redfin teamed up with pet insurance company Trupanion to determine the most cat-friendly cities. They looked at 250 cities based on cat-specific services, like clinics, shelters and hospitals, as well as the percentage of homes for sale with cat-friendly features like high ceilings, an extra bathroom for their litter box, and patios so they can get some outside time.
Based on that data, Corvalis, Oregon was named the most cat-friendly city, thanks to its easy access to veterinary care, low risk of outdoor environmental dangers, and favorable housing features.
