Donor Gives $1M For Hospital Staff Bonuses

An anonymous donor is showing their appreciation for medical workers at a California hospital. They’ve donated $1-million to employees of Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz that will be given as bonuses.

All employees, including nurses, cleaning staff, lab techs, medical records and mailroom staff, and security guards who’ve worked there for at least a year will be getting a bonus. Full-timers get $800 and part-time workers get $600.

The anonymous gift came with a note that reads: “Thank you for standing up (and staying up!) To care for our community. This human kindness is what makes you heroic.”
