Construction Worker Saves Dying Dog Stuck In Traffic

A Virginia construction worker was able to save a dying dog with CPR after its owner got stuck in a traffic jam on the way to the veterinarian’s office.Teresa Perkins’ three-year-old German Shepherd, Jett, swallowed a ball and stopped breathing in the car when construction caused delays.

She was honking the horn and trying to get help, which caught the eye of several construction workers who were working nearby and rushed to help. One of them was Cavaja Holt, who reached his arm down Jett’s throat and pulled the ball out, then gave him mouth-to-mouth and chest compressions. Perkins says it worked and soon Jett started breathing on his own. She was able to get him to the vet, where he was checked out and released.
