I know we did stupid things when we were young. I understand there are no sporting events to bet on, but betting on getting sick first?? I truly do wonder what the parents of these kids think.
I'm not picking a side on what is real and what is hype, but I do know that whatever it is, people DO DIE from this. Young people are now starting to see the tests coming back they are not immune to it, just not affecting the vast majority of them like it does others.
Would you stick your arm out to a venomous snake because it had just been milked and there wasn't "much" venom in it RIGHT NOW? Uh, no. The danger is still real.
