Town Emus Get Banned From Local Pub

Two emus went on a wild spree and have gone from hero to zero.

The birds are no longer welcome at a pub in the Yaraka Hotel in Queensland, Australia. The native big birds were raised and hatched in the town, becoming a noted tourist attraction.

Here’s where they went off the rails. Hotel officials say as they've grown the two have wreaked havoc by stealing customers' food and drink, taking car keys, tearing up signs and pooping inside of the business and on residents’ lawns.

Now, ropes have been put up in front of the business' doors along with a sign advising patrons of the emu ban and barrier. They say the new rules have helped stop the animal emergency, though the emus still look for ways to sneak in.

The town may look to relocate the birds
