Shelter Dog Saves Volunteer From Kidnapping Attempt

A dog that’s up for adoption at the Big Fluffy Dog Rescuein Tennessee has become a hero. While one of the rescue volunteers was walking Jepson, a Great Pyrenees, the dog helped protect her from a potential kidnapping situation.

Jean Harrison, founder of Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, says a van pulled up next to the young female volunteer and the pooch and two men got out, heading their way. “The dog started going berserk,” she explains, adding that the woman had to hold Jepson back as he tried to get to the men. That was enough to scare them off and they got back into the van without saying a word and sped off.

"Had she not been walking a Great Pyrenees who decided these men definitely constituted a threat and had that Great Pyrenees not kept them at bay, we could have been national news,” Harrison says. “Jepson the Pyr is a hero for sure and the employee this happened to is a trooper.”
