Have Branches After the Storm? Give It to The Omaha Zoo!

After the wind storm hit the metro yesterday, we're sure most of you have branches lying around your yard. What do you do with them? Give your tree branches to the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium!

The Omaha zoo is requesting the branches. They provide some super tasty treats for many of the animals including the elephants, gorillas and pygmy hippos.

The Zoo is looking for elm, hackberry, mulberry, birch, honey locust, linden and willow tree branches that have not been treated with pesticides or not dead, dying or diseased.

What's NOT accepted, Oak, black locust and red maple.

For more information call the zoo at 402-738-6947 or email them at Browse@OmahaZoo.com
