Germany Will Require Walking Dogs

Some pet owners are being told they could be breaking the law if they don't walk their dog.

And not once, but twice a day for at least 30 minutes each. This will be the new rule next year in Germany if a law passes. Owners say it's wrong to think all canines have the same exercise needs. No word how the law would be enforced.

The Agriculture secretary came up with rule due to nearly one-in-five homes having a dog and “Pets are not cuddly toys - their needs have to be considered.”
