An Indiana police officer saw grocery store employee Caleb Harris going out of his way to help an elderly blind shopper and rewarded him for his good deed. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer Molly Groce started a “pay it forward challenge” asking her 74-thousand Instagram followers to donate for Harris for the kindness he showed to one of their customers. The Instagram followers pitched in and raised $47-hundred in 48 hours and Groce surprised Harris with it.
Harris was completely surprised by the generosity when Groce gave him the money. He says he plans to use some of it to buy a vehicle and give the rest to his mom, who is currently battling breast cancer.
