Firefighters in Scott, Louisiana, stepped up to pitch in and help someone who suffered a heat-related emergency while mowing their lawn. Officials with the Scott Fire Department say they responded to a call about someone unconscious in their front yard and after an ambulance took that person to the hospital, firefighters stepped outside their usual roles to do some yard work.
They stayed on the scene and got to work, finishing the job of mowing the grass. Scott Fire Chief Chad Sonnier explains, “This is just another example of how firefighters go above and beyond on a daily basis for our citizens.” He adds that the resident is doing well and expected to fully recover.
