Pet owners can't stop with the weed. More and more pet owners across the country are turning to pot products to help with stress-related disorders as well as anxiety.
It's especially prevalent in New York City where dogs and cats are often stressed out with all the noise associated with a big city. Owners are always looking for treats infused with CBD, a compound found in marijuana that’s separate from THC, the part of the plant that makes you high, which has been touted as a remedy for anxiety and pain in both humans and their four-legged friends.
Veterinarians warn that research is just getting starting with CBD and it's effects on animals and says owners should be cautious when using these products. That's not stopping owners from clearing the shelves of these products when they can find them.
