8 Labs Traveled U.S. to Continue Working as Assistance Dogs

8 Labradors made stops in Ohio, Illinois and Colorado to meet their foster-volunteer families. The dogs are with Guiding Eyes for the Blind. They were all set to continue their work when the pandemic hit. Usually this company relies on commercial flights to get the dogs to the trainers and volunteer foster families. Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a nonprofit had to get creative. So, they decided to take a road trip!

They set off from Yorktown, NY for a multi-day journey through the US in an RV. The RV was equipped with special crates to keep the pups safe while on the road. Happy to report all the dogs will be completing their training by the end of the year.
