This man was wrong not to check his mail. He should have. Nobody is arguing that, but he very well lose his home because he didn't empty a bucket of water, move a ladder out of site and pressure wash some dirt off one side of his house????
HOA boards can LITERALLY foreclose on your HOME! Put you on the street over a bucket of water!
Tip for you: INVESTIGATE your HOA. You will most likely find endless circles of "we don't know, that's not my job" and it can be very difficult to find where your HOA dues are ACTUALLY going.
