So, the courts ruled, or the humane society ruled, ok we won't KILL him, but you can't have your pup back.
WHAT? I mean seriously, WHAT?
This is a bite. Scary. This is not a dog mauling.
Look, I don't want to be bitten by a dog. I was as a child, and that dog was protecting his property. I'm not even mad even though I will carry the scars for life. I accidently wandered on to HIS yard. I was way too young to even know what happened to that pup. I hope nothing. I hope back then cooler heads prevailed and my parents worked it out with the owners. I will never know.
As a dog owner, YOU are responsible for keeping your pups secured. I'm not going to argue that. I want that. HOWEVER, if this is not a vicious dog, "they" decided he could live and be "re-homed" then he should go HOME!
Unfortunately, NO ONE can guarantee a dog will never get loose, never bite out of fear. Not the owner that LOVES him, and certainly not a new owner that the dog doesn't even know.
I sincerely hope there is more to this story. I don't have that info, if so.
