iHeartRadio Music Festival has been making history for three years now, by putting together notable lineups that juxtapose the worlds of pop, hip-hop, country and rock – not to mention bucket-list collaborations. And this year, we can add the daytime iHeartRadio Village showcase to the list of now-legendary events.

Set on a freshly-paved lot that once held notoriety for being included in The Hangover (remember when Mr. Chow was delivered for ransom?), thousands of people flocked to the Village to see an international ensemble of acts ranging from EDM to country. With two stages on site, twenty one pilots kicked things off with a death-defying performance before Cher Lloyd had us all singing along to her Brit-accented pop.

One of the greatest things about iHeartRadio Village was just how quickly fans were able to switch paces between genres – such as the back-to-back performances from electronic stalwart Pete Tong and country sensations The Band Perry, who impressed the audience with their downhome rockin' sound. Birthday boy Jason Derulo impressed with his dance moves and stylish garb, before turning things over to Miley Cyrus, who gave us a superior performance, flanked by little people dancers and Candyland imagery.

Another benchmark of iHeartRadio Music Festival has been fun surprises and the Village was no different, offering collaborations from Cher Lloyd and Ne-Yo, and Danity Kane's surprising and stylish appearance. Krewella rocked the house with their punk/dance hybrid and set up Avril Lavigne – who went full-on old-school pop punk for her time on stage. The Wanted, longtime documented Las Vegas fans, ended the day and kept us dancing in the hot sun.
