First Time Ever, Miss Nebraska Wins Miss USA Title

Monday night, Miss Nebraska 2018, Sarah Rose Summers, was crowned Miss USA. The Papillion native beat out Miss North Carolina for the title. 

Summers attended Papillion La Vista South High School before heading to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated with a two separate degrees from TCU including one in child development and one in strategic communication, along with a minor in business, according to the Miss Nebraska organization. Summers is currently working to become a Certified Child Life Specialist.

According to the Miss USA organization, Rose will move to a luxury apartment in New York City, which will serve as her home base while she spends her reign traveling the country. The Miss USA title also includes a year-long salary, complete with all living expenses paid for, personal appearance wardrobe and styling by the official Miss Universe Organization fashion stylist, extensive travel and access to a number of New York City events including casting opportunities, movie premieres, fashion week, sporting events and career opportunities.
